    Our prospects are no longer syncing with the website.  This issue has been going on for quite some time b/c we have not been able to reach Leon (who created the BSC software).  We are wondering if there is a fix on your end possibly? I have attached screenshots of the error message from the software that we are receiving along with the link to the software.  Please let me know if you need log in information or if you already have this.

    I didn't know the prospects weren't syncing. I will bet that this is a security feature on your network. Did you say that you moved to the cloud and don't have a windows server anymore? If that's the case, that could be the problem. I'll get the error screen to Chris and see what he says, but if the DB moved to the cloud, we need to know that.

    However, I talked to our PHP programmers who work with WordPress. There are new ways to upload data and sync IF your DB allows xml import. So we'd have to talk to Leon and/or Craig (not sure who does what for you) and see if the database allows newer kinds of import.

    But you should be able to get a spreadsheet of everyone collected online and upload that to the database. Not sure if you need Leon/Craig to help with that. I can get the spreadsheet if you want it.

    Last, before I can tell you what the new site's programming will cost, we need to either talk to Leon or see if you're interested in another CRM to replace that database. They're not cheap, but they do lots of wonderful things. One is obviously Salesforce. It's popular and its got a learning curve. Another I like better is LiveImpact (mostly for nonprofits but a great tool, reasonably priced and easy to use). There are more. Are you interested at all in a new CRM?

    Hi Sue, 

    We did not move to the cloud.  Ace mentioned that Chris should have a copy of our original database because he set up the sync with Leon.  Maybe you could check with him to see if our database could import XML.  Unfortunately, Leon has serious health complications and we have been without his service for months now.  

    Please advise.

    I talked to Chris yesterday about this. He said he can provide you with a spreadsheet of any dates you want with the entire registration list or "from any date to present." That could be uploaded into your database. He thinks the lack of synching is from your DB not sending xml files nightly (with your updates). If you send a csv file of the same dates, he'll update the online database as well. 

    I don't think he believes he can synch them without someone on your side "letting him in" or testing uploading. I'm sorry to hear about Leon. Is there an Access programmer you can hire to work with this (try Thumbtack.com, we've found some good folks there.)
